In my campaign, the party got attacked by a grey ooze, which corroded some weapons and the barbarian’s armor. We were all like, was the barb even wearing armor? Turns out she had it on from a previous level when it made sense, but had since taken points in Constitution (and I think a magic item gave her Sex). So, she removed her armor and her AC literally went up by 2, lol!
