Catching up on Monster Man by @gonzohistory and just listened to the Moon, Rogue.If I ever threw one into a game and a player didn't call out "THAT'S NO MOON!" I will have failed. Especially with the tractor beam effect and everything. Like literally that premise just calls for a Star War.(Granted my players would probably also name a Spelljammer the Centenial Eagle or something like that...)

And after a trip back to the store because the dough recipe was just not working today, we have pizza in the oven

One thing I don't enjoy in some modern games is the adoption of the milestone/GM fiat character advancement as the only option.As I run things I like to see things like "okay, this amount of challenges is the default and this is how that feels" so that if I shift to milestone I have some feel for how often the default is and how satisfying that path is.Using session based advancement in my latest #5e game, I can see and feel the pacing and write sessions around that#TTRPG

Had a moment of reflection on the #enshittification of the internet, specifically search, while trying to find some good recipes to help my daughter who's taking an interest in learning to cook.When I was a teenager and a college student in the 00s, I could just type a dish into search and usually on the first page find something that looked straight out of GeoCities talking about the techniques and ingredients full of love for the food, not just the SEO.Now recipe searches are crapshoots.

Got a start at cleaning out the Promotions tab of my Gmail yesterday. Reading through my new copy of #Daggerheart and first thing I'm thinking as I hit domains is "huh, if I toss the idea of the domain circle out, that's a lot of room for new and interesting classes. I want a Codex and Blade class. Or a Bone and Grace."#TTRPG

So, the way the whole world is has me looking at ways I can run overtly anti-authoritarian RPGs.Specifically, I pulled out my PDFs of #Shadowrun Missions season 4 and the fight for recognition by the Ork Underground and how a bunch of authority figures absolutely do not like that and are willing to kill for the status quo. So, uh, reading this now I gotta find time to run it.Especially after actually prepping to start the storyline off *well* (for one by actually reading ahead of game time)
