What frustrates me terribly is that this is the exact playbook the US have used in myriad countries, typically Latin America and 'third-world' locations, for the last 70 years. But under the Citrus Caesar, Canada is now seen as that kind of pawn on the global stage. (At least we're in excellent company.)
And the patsies trying to separate the country in Alberta don't have the historical knowledge or intent to connect the dots.

Canada will be JUST FINE. It's got a stable economy and actual intelligence in top government. It's also got intelligence support from the rest of the world. The US has none of these things currently.

@atomicpoet As an Albertan, I find this both utterly unsurprising, and yet still offensive. What it isn't, is worrisome, at least not any more so than Trump's other threats to Canada's sovereignty. There's just no way that our separatist clowns are getting anywhere near the 170K signatures they need to trigger a referendum, and no way for them to win even if they could. 70% against! This is just another Team Trump attempt at distracting from the real question: where *are* the Epstein files?
