USA is blatantly working to break-up Canada.
Not only is the Trump administration in talks with Alberta separatists, they’re actively working to destabilize my country.
Trump Team’s Secret Meetings With Group Plotting to Break Up Canada Exposed

@atomicpoet seems like an opportunity to make a deal. I bet you could suckered him into trading Minnesota for Alberta separatists. Pretty please, I'm ready for Canadian issues vs US issues.

@Argonel Trump wants all of North America, and also Venezuela, Cuba, and the Panama Canal. -

@atomicpoet @lisamelton Hey Don! The LAST time the US went up against Canada, it did NOT end well!
America's Long History of Trying to Acquire Canada
Support for annexing land to the north peaked in the 1860s.

@atomicpoet he is dumb enough to accept Alberta separatists as if they were the entire province.

@jgobble @lisamelton That actually wasn’t the last time Americans tried to invade Canada. They tried again in 1866.

And they threatened annexation even into the early 20th century. In the 1920s, they even drew up War Plan Red:

@atomicpoet isn't that sedition?

@theogrin THIS IS WHAT I’VE BEEN TRYING TO TELL PEOPLE!
Don’t be saying, “This looks like Russia’s handiwork. Trump is taking orders from Putin.”
No, USA’s been doing this shit forever. A big historical example is with Mexico. Specifically, Texas.
Which is why it’s ironic when Alberta is compared to Texas.Yeah, none of this is new or at all surprising, least of all under a wannabe God-Emperor. The only difference is who they're doing it to.

Canada will be JUST FINE. It's got a stable economy and actual intelligence in top government. It's also got intelligence support from the rest of the world. The US has none of these things currently.

@theogrin We got away with it for so long because we acted like Americans, often on their behalf. All in the guise of “friendship”. Trump is simply the first guy to go mask off. -

@megatronicthronbanks Never assume everything will be just fine. Always consider the possibility that Trump means what he says. -

@atomicpoet As an Albertan, I find this both utterly unsurprising, and yet still offensive. What it isn't, is worrisome, at least not any more so than Trump's other threats to Canada's sovereignty. There's just no way that our separatist clowns are getting anywhere near the 170K signatures they need to trigger a referendum, and no way for them to win even if they could. 70% against! This is just another Team Trump attempt at distracting from the real question: where *are* the Epstein files?

@atomicpoet How about we trade you California, Oregan and Washington State for Alberta and Saskatchewan, in which case I'll move to California next week.

@Doppelganger75 Provinces and states are not tradeable like hockey players. The last time US states tried to secede, there was a civil war.
Time to take this topic seriously. This isn't a lighthearted joke. -

@NicknamesOfGod
I'm not afraid Albertans will vote to separate. I'm worried US will use it as a pretext for invasion. -

Polls show the American public is sick of his antics and has no appetite for war, especially with Canada. He'll be irrelevant soon, and there's nobody else on the horizon with his particular ability to captivate the dumb masses.

Scooter8647 🇺🇦 🇳🇿 It doesn’t matter if you don’t see it happening. If it does happen, what is Canada going to do about it?
Trump didn’t chicken out of Greenland. He left the matter alone for now. He can choose to invade at a later time.
And you say Trump will be irrelevant soon. But what if he’s not? What if decides to run as Vice-President, then take on the role of President after JD Vance resigns?
Fools only consider certainties. A wise person considers possibilities.

@atomicpoet Canada and the EU seem to be doing the right thing by moving away from all things American, and the Minnesota protests are nothing compared to what would happen here if the idiot tried to invade Canada. Yes, he's crazy and dangerous, so neither of us can take anything for granted, but I'm more worried about the billionaires (Thiel and those funding Project 25, in particular) than Trump himself.

Scooter8647 🇺🇦 🇳🇿 And what if Trump doesn’t cede power, lives another 10 years, and all checks and balances prove to be a lie?
Certainly, billionaires are a problem. But once again, things can get worse.
