@atomicpoet I think they're bored! More precisely, I think the cultural pendulum has swung that way, and now writers are pitching those retro lonely princess pieces to publications - and editors are biting. I hope this will stop soon, maybe if the trump administration starts facing actual consequences. ‍️

@jeridansky Thank you! Thinking about my Leroy usually makes me happy rather than sad, but it took years to get here. My sweet little guy. ️

@rufustheduck Thank you! He was a handsome Harry, as my grandma would say. He puked foam nearly every day of his life, had a fairly serious heart murmur every new vet warned us about, and pooped without boundaries, but he lived to be 19. Here he's probably 16 and enjoying a nice interlude with my sister, whose cat Ralph fell deeply in love with him. I got him back when she had a baby with special needs and she couldn't risk having her find and sample a wayward poop. I was so glad to have him back, and he missed me, too.

My heart cat was a tuxedo named Leroy. I have a pair of brown tabbies now whom I love endlessly, and in between was a magnificent house panther named Venus, but Leroy still has my heart. I mean, just look at him!

@sundogplanets I turned out to be a city girl, which is so odd to me. I do still get nauseated even seeing movies where there are large office buildings full of windows, and people behind every window, all stacked on each other, separated by the confidence of architects, and yet I traipse over to doctor offices on the 7th floor, or the 6th floor, in a giant multi-building campus. My house is a sweet little single-story lady from 1925, and it's my decompression chamber.
