@carnage4life hot take from someone that loves well-designed, working code: answering product questions is where the value is. I used to think that product stuff was easy and low-value in my younger days, too, so no blame on the OP.
Engineers are expensive, and making engineers build the wrong thing is expensive.
@mekkaokereke are there centrist Dems arguing affirmatively that these conditions are necessary in city/county jails? I usually hear about it more as centrist Dems being unwilling to defund or criticize police, but I don't think that's the same as affirmatively advocating for horrific conditions (as the GOP is doing for ICE facilities)
