I don't believe you need an extension for hex grids, there's an isometric grid you can add which is effectively a hex grid with extra lines.

I've been working on a tool to post my work from the command line to multiple social media platforms.It's interesting. I guess I always post manually for fear a script would break the context of each platform's audience.
YouTube would be good.
