He was Epstein's best friend for 15 years. Epstein & Maxwell used Ding-a-Lingo (Mar-a-Lago) as the base to source underage girls and traffic them.
Dementia Donny used the Epstein Files as a means to get elected. He knew his base would vote for him if he said he'd release the Epstein Files, and I think he thought he could get away with not releasing them. Big mistake. Huge.
@stux Apple give you Xcode for free. You don't have to pay the Developer Fee until you decide to distribute an app or game on the App Store.
I agree that some of the anti-steering policies are a bit overkill, but Epic might've got Apple to change if they'd got a bunch of developers together and pushed for changes, rather than the pissy way they went about it. That immediately created an adversarial atmosphere, ended up in court, and is taking forever.
No one comes out of it looking good.
@stux Yeah, I ditched Duolingo a couple of years ago when, after three years, it was still asking me to translate sentences like, I am driving my children to univiersity". That's such a basic sentence that I wasn't getting anywhere. And they added all that AI crap to it so it marked you as wrong because you used the wrong apostrophe character, for example. Absolute trash now. Good riddance.

When you go to any site, a colorful banner at the top generally means they're advertising some new version or some conference.
The warning needs to be about 25% of the way down the screen for it to be guaranteed to be read.

That's what Trump thinks tariffs are.
He thinks that by adding tariffs to goods imported into the US, the selling country pays the tariffs, which would be him adding a tax to goods produced in another country.
The man is an ignoramus.

@stux It's dumb that you can be in the cabinet of the US government without being elected first. You just get nominated by a President, then voted on by Congress (?). Pete Hegseth was never voted in by the people, and he's the Defense Secretary?!
The UK cabinet consists of MPs who were elected by the people, so our Defence Secretary is chosen by the Prime Minister - like it is in most other countries. Our PM doesn't just nominate a TV show host!
