    Question: Do you know of any #fantasy or #ttrpg maps that exist as downloadable #QGIS repositories? Other than the one for the #Golarion of #Pathfinder ?

    I want to figure out how they do such maps for #worldbuilding purposes.

    @juergen_hubert Have you seen the Obsidian Leaflet plugin? It uses a standard mapping library (Leaflet) and is intended for fantasy maps, so at least maybe the documents have the info you need.

      @trantion

      I do know how to integrate Leaflet maps into Mediawiki - I have done that elsewhere, and I am reasonably confident that I could do this with a custom map.

      The trick is figuring out how to create a wholly custom fantasy map in QGIS.

        @juergen_hubert Not what you ask, but I have been trying to work with QGIS to make fantasy maps. I have found some useful tutorial on YouTube, at least. To get me started. Also there is this project here, which can generate QGIS maps https://github.com/nms-scribe/cosmopoeia

          Oh, I'm also open for tutorials, if you have any examples.

              @Da_Gut

              Yeah, a few have been mentioned, and there's also a Forgotten Realms map.

              Though this project is on the back burner right now.

                  Ich denke, mit dem Konzept allgemein bin ich genügend vertraut. Aber wie man es mit QGIS unsetzt ist noch eine offene Frage.

                      #QGIS ist eine #FOSS -Software für Geoinformationssysteme - was z.B. die Karten für Google Maps und OpenStreetMap generiert.

                      D.h. Du gibst die Daten als Vektorinformationen ein, die dann dynamisch auf einer Weltkarte dargestellt werden.

                      Diese Karte von #Golarion, der Welt von #Pathfinder, wurde z.B. damit gemacht.
