I'm wanting to take a different approach to writing about RPG stuff and I like the idea of operating within the weird editorial framework of an adventure anthology.

@Taskerland Barring something like Dungeon Magazine, the best scenario collection of all time IMO is The Great Old Ones for Call of Cthulhu.

@Da_Gut @Taskerland Journeys Through the Radiant Citadel. I think it's overrated. As far as 5e anthologies featuring original adventures go, Candlekeep Mysteries is way better IMO.

@SJohnRoss I think that's part of what interests me about the format. Quite often there'll be one banger that probably prompted the anthology in the first place, then some solid pieces, then stuff included for space

@SJohnRoss See... That would make an interesting hook for an adventure: A community is told in no uncertain terms that their gods were a sham. 6 months after the first lot of adventurers leave, the community is spiritually bereft, they slide into nihilistic mystical weirdness causing problems for other villages.

@Taskerland @Da_Gut yeah, that one contains 5e adaptations of older edition adventures.
