In the Gulf War I, British tanks were marked on top for the first time, so that the American fighter pilots might recognise them as friendly.
IIRC one friendly fire incident took out seven Brits.

@nodami most certainly. In that tale, though, the one was prepared to talk and negotiate, and the crew were definitely on their side. The other did not.
The bad thing about the first image, for those who don't remember the end, is the two were allowed back onto their planet. One the hunter. The other the hunted.
In the closing scene one of them killed the other, simply because they were different.
Woke, definitely, but without solutions.
