Honestly, dishwasher safe makes your request essentially impossible. None of the options for that are without their own issues. Composite materials are all built using some form or another of adhesive, and those have the same issues as plastic when it comes to swallowing things that aren’t food.

So you’ve got to pick between light materials like plastic and composites you can shove in a dishwasher, or a wood that’s heavier, but only needs quick washing by hand.

So far, nobody has come up with a solution that’s perfect, though wood products constructed with normal wood glues come pretty close in every respect but weight. Even there, while a decent sized wood board is going to be heavy and awkward to wash, at least it isn’t going to slide around.

I have nothing useful to contribute, but holy crap I wish I had the household to do this because I’d love to try it.

But if I tried this, either the teenager or the old man (well, other old man) would fiddle with it every time they opened the fridge and I suspect that would interfere with the process.

Nope, accents are fun, and I am not giving them up unless I just don’t feel like doing them.

For one thing, I worked hard at some of them.

For another, combining different accents with different vocal techniques and tones of voice give you a wider range of options. Even as a player that’s a good thing. As a DM, it’s even gooder.

And, again, fun. It is mind fuckingly awesome to run a table where three players are arguing with an entire room of people they have stolen from, and the players can tell who is calling their mother the town mule because every one of the NPCs is distinct. That shit is fucking hype.

It is also going to require a day to recover while sipping soothing beverages.

That’s my concern too. People jumping or trying to push into using it before the possible consequences are fully known.

I’m the same way with food snobbery tbh. I see even jokes about it, and it just gets under my skin, even when I am fully awake and can tell it’s a joke. There’s that flash of “this motherfucker” before I exert control of my brain. So I totally get it.

I’m just sorry I picked a bad joke to try. Like I said, they can’t all be winners, but looking back at it, it was a lame attempt.

We have a household rule: don’t talk to south until he’s awake. How can you tell he’s awake? Has he been moving for at least an hour? If yes, then he may be awake, but there’s no promises. If not, then treat him like you would a manbearpig freshly out of hibernation.

The grunts and croaks that pass as communication from me that first bit are a passable caveman shtick.
