Day 2 in the d20 calendar, we've got one of those weird irregular dice. -
Speaking of which, I am reminded of When Clayton Notestine announced that anyone who struggles to read the Mork Borg core book must have a neurological impairment.'nAnd then they quietly released a version of the book that wasn't completely unreadable.@Printdevil @Taskerland @devilsjunkshop Have played it once and as a player a) it's perfectly find as a game, and b) it's all theatre of the mind so the design doesn't come into it for good or ill.

Interesting - a year ago, there were nearly 2000 active accounts on here and now we're closer to 1500.'nI don't want to toot my own horn or anything but...@Taskerland @Printdevil There are people who want to be influencers or who want to sell their fantasy heartbreaker, and this is not the right place for that sort of thing. Bluesky has been great as a honeypot for that crowd.

Some thoughts on the place of criticism in the world of #ttrpg and why I have decided to stop reviewing other people's games.'nhttps://tasker.land/2025/11/13/on-criticism-and-ttrpgs/@Taskerland @Printdevil For my group, a campaign is a maximum of two three hour sessions. We will revisit a game but usually with new characters.

It would be quite convenient to have one of those big Zardoz heads to fly around in.@Taskerland "Can you give us a lift? Any room in the back?"
"Sure, just let me vomit out some of these guns."

Interesting playing a Lovecraft-themed boardgame last night.@Taskerland Never heard of it! There really are heaps of these things.

Interesting playing a Lovecraft-themed boardgame last night.@Taskerland There are so many of these. Was it Cthulhu: Death May Die? I played that one the other day and enjoyed it well enough as a HeroQuest.

PITY SEXFeast Of Love2013 U.S. pressing'nExcellent find from a used bin today!'nSome muscly, shoegaze-y #post punk from Ann Arbour, Michigan.@TheVinylApe @Tim_Eagon A great album, kind of grungy emo with shoegaze vibes.

Speaking of being obtuse, I have written about my experiences with Kira Magrann's Lynchian improv-based #ttrpg Something is Wrong Here https://tasker.land/2025/10/28/review-something-is-wrong-here/@Taskerland Really enjoying reading these reviews of storygames and jeepforms and the like. Great stuff. My group would probably be a bit too gonzo for this one but we did take Alice Is Missing seriously (and get a bit of bleed) so who knows?

I’ve really, really gotten into Alcest recently (like in the past week).@Tim_Eagon They're even better live if you get the chance.
