it'll be set in the 90s, with a card theme!
doing my homework by finally watching a certain card-themed 90s magical girl anime ^^

finished running the single player #QuestForTheFrozenFlame campaign yesterday after 17 sessions ^^
it was very good and my player surprised me in quite some ways ^^
now i'm hyped for more pathfinder, but also other ttrpgs in general!
gotta love telling fun stories with my friends

@badri there's many factors why it blew up. to name a few: good story, relatable main characters, amazing animation, catchy music and a mythology that's new for most people!

it released with very little promotion and got big through word of mouth.
i feel like most people were surprised hearing it, then watched it and started talking about it, because they didn't expect it to be that good ^^

played in a friend's game today: level 3 party that somehow ended up as assist crew on a pirate ship.
we got attacked by a navy ship! while my fighter and the druid were fending off attackers, our sprite investigator somehow snuck onto their ship and trashed their wheel! somehow!
but then their luck ran out and they tumbled into the ocean
luckily i got to show off some high athletics nonsense and rescued them (with a nat 20!!!)

@tezrak.bsky.social i feel like that might be because gunslinger is less of a classic fantasy thing.
also, afaik matt only made the gunslinger for 5e, because taliesin was playing one when their home game was still using pathfinder

wouldn't be surprised if there's a gunslinger in the future tho ^^

i ran a session of the boat game yesterday and it was really good ^^
i got to reveal some character mysteries and hand out some fun items ^^

afterwards i had a chat with my co-gm about the future of the campaign. we both admitted that we were struggling with prep a lot and concluded that it's maybe for the best to not risk burning out, end this campaign soon, and then start a new thing

i don't like having to end a campaign early, but it's better than burnout!

@lumipate tbh i would be surprised if ginny d ever gets into any non-dnd game big time. she seems to be very far down the dnd hole from what i can see.
and with that i can actually see the sentiment of improving the one game she likes with other games.
but i don't know her personally, i might just be wrong

love to see people who mainly cover dnd cover other games tho, it makes me optimistic about the ttrpg hobby in general ^^
