Corporate Dems like Schumer & Booker are pushing "strongly worded statements" demanding ICE "needs more training."They're stuck in a 1990s mode of operation where one simply DOES NOT do anything polarizing because oh gosh, we'll alienate voters.
I don't think it's greed or beholding to powerful lobbyists so much as trapped in a bubble, isolated from the real world. We saw a bit of that bubble breaking down on Jan 6th; too bad it didn't stick.
