George Floyd died in 2020, so the US said, "OMG!The racist framings that were used to morally justify and constitutionally enshrine slavery, the genocidal war against native peoples and systematic discrimination against non-anglosaxon passing groups are all still very much alive and part of the foundational myths of the US.
