@rufustheduck @oldkephalus we seem to specialise on cats with FIV, so age is not the only limiting factor.
But I’d rather they not suffer just for sticking around in corporeal form a bit longer. And I’m sure they’ll stick around ethereally, as they grew to be family members.

sleeping, but he’s black with white spots, on a black mattress, in a dark room with only very very dim ambient light as I’m winding down for bed… so, a smartphone camera will not be able to pick anything discernable.
@jwildeboer that just means one has to buy a battery that’s 5/4 as large as one really needs
