We knew this was coming, but now the clock is running. -
George Floyd died in 2020, so the US said, "OMG!@cavyherd @growfediverse @mekkaokereke It’s not so much the being wrong that bothers me; it is the action which results in people getting hurt and disruption of social, humanistic democracy. They can say whatever they want.
Frankly, I’m not at all interested in forgiveness for the fascists. Truth and justice — removal of the threat — must happen before there can be any form of toleration much less reconciliation.

George Floyd died in 2020, so the US said, "OMG!@cavyherd @growfediverse @mekkaokereke Truth first, reconciliation only after they recognize and make a sincere apology for the harm they caused others and a promise to never behave that way again. Right now, reconciliation is not on the table nor should it be.

What the actual fuck?@ferrix @VisualStuart Prisoners of war? But no, since the Red Cross cannot visit we must assume they are hostages (in the best case). In the worst case, they will become “examples.” No joke.

Is anyone else experience this thing where your fellow senior engineers seem to be lobotomised by AI?@Purple @mhartle That is scary, but the lack of sufficiently trained and skilled professionals in software engineering has been scary for a long time. My colleague (a bona fide wizard) once wrote a cross-compiler that would turn other people’s code into something he would write. Often it would fail — because the other code would fail. We didn’t really use it as a test tool, but it was hellagreat at optimizing!
