If you are going to a protest where shit may get real, here’s (part) of my med kit I carry to these:
1. Nitrile gloves
2. NAR CAT tourniquets
3. Roller gauze and/or wound packing
4. Chest seals
5. Blister treatments (molefoam, cloth tape)
6. Clean water in a bike squeeze bottle (for eye irrigation)
7. Trauma shears
8. Surgical masks
9. Safety glasses
10. Snacks
11. Tampons and pads
12. P-100 respirator with vapor cartridges
13. Shop towels
I also carry a helmet.
Dear fellow Healthcare workers in hospitals:
If you don’t know (*absolutely, clearly, KNOW*) what your hospital’s policy is with respect to ICE wandering the halls, ASK now. Find out.
My health system has us redirect ICE to non-patient waiting areas, call security and admin, and not disclose anything about patients.
Just remember: this massive federal force in Minneapolis has no home base, no supplies, no food, no protected hospital, no gasoline. They are staying in your hotels, eating in your restaurants, and filling up at your stations.
Starve the fucking nazis.
Everyone needs to remind Democratic leadership that, if we ever manage to come back from this current disaster made by Trump, it isn’t Trump who we care about being held accountable. It is the minions, the party leaders, the ICE agents, the DOGE dorks, and all of the petty officials who have openly violated laws over and over again.

Do NOT give your babies or young kids aspirin for pain/fever unless directed to do so by your doctor. There is a life-threatening reaction called Reyes Syndrome that can occur with salicylates like aspirin when used in younger children.
Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is safe for most children at typically recommended doses. Ibuprofen generally is as well.
I wonder what the federal agents tell their families when they get home from a day where they ziptied literal children together into a chain of detained kids, dragged them down an apartment hall crying, while at least one agent said “fuck them kids”.
They were citizens, but even if they were noncitizen kids of noncitizen serial killer rapist pedophile lizard people, it would be extremely fucked up behavior.
To everyone with a hangup on pronouns — we have a gal/guy in our area who identifies as male or female depending on who the fuck knows what. He/she is a huge chick/dude, with serious attitude if you fuck up. You know what? All of my fire medics just straight ask her/him “hey there, are ____ or ____ today, and let’s get ya taken care of”, and they never have a fucking problem. Ditto for the ER peeps who aren’t just being assholes for the sake of assholery. Literally one sentence, and you’re good.
