Still looking for full-time employment; or more gigs. Would love to work in #UX or #accessibility related roles, but be careful; when I search for accessibility roles, the algo thinks 'hospital' and medical assistants. I mean digital accessibility, primarily - whether that's games, documents like PDFs, or web design. #gamedev #ttrpg

First...@pteryx It didn't get to that point with me in school (I did get bullied, especially in middle and high school, but still). But - I definitely feel this. "Not making a scene" is what society often rewards - even if making a scene out of protest or because you don't know what else to DO re: bullies. My school's response to me getting death threats was basically a collective shrug and blaming me. So yeah. I get it. I'm sorry.

First...@pteryx I unfortunately know how that goes - feeling like if I show emotion, that I'm punished for feeling or existing at all.

First...First... Monday of the year?
As we all start 2026, let's help each other as best as we can. What are your plans for the year? Do you have a community around you? Mutual aid can mean money for bills but also just talking with someone - sorrows shared are sorrows halved, if you know of sayings like that. Did you hear sayings like those growing up?
I'm hoping I have community around me too. Esp as I'm still job hunting for #accessibility and #UX roles, and open to pivoting to loc or PM roles. -
I've had #ttrpg #accessibility on the mind, and a big thing is fonts.@DejahEntendu Information structure ("chunking"), using the word processor style ribbons to ensure headings, lists, and tables are actually parsed as tables (or lists, or headings) in the document structure itself; and there are more resources I maintain on my site.
I recommend checking the ebook articles first (https://www.flowerstorm.tech/intro-accessibility-ebook/ ) but the tabletop creator resource link list is also there.

I've had #ttrpg #accessibility on the mind, and a big thing is fonts.@DejahEntendu Comic Sans actually has an accessible factor (differentiating between commonly confused characters) that it does really well, despite people judging it as a silly typeface.
Some of the fonts (OpenDyslexic does this for me) also can cause migraines, so conflicting access needs definitely Are A Thing too. But I get people thinking font choice matters much more than information structure or such does, and... there are other things that can help make documents more accessible!

There is no One True Accessible font. And changing a font alone is not going to make an entire document accessible. It may improve it, for sure. BUT IT IS NOT THE ONLY CRITERIA.
Some fonts ARE more accessible in the sense that they distinguish between commonly confused characters.
