The sandwich guy verdict is *not* jury nullification.

The jury had to decide if throwing a sandwich rose to the level of assault, and it just didn't.

If the sandwich guy had thrown a brick and was found not guilty? That's jury nullification.

This was cops pretending to be the real victims here, which is their usual lie to justify murdering poc, and a jury not playing along.

Signed up for an Adventurers League epic on Saturday, and just heard from my table's DM. They clearly don't understand anything about AL... telling people to bump up their level, restricting magic items (without using or misusing terms that exist in DnD)...

Anyway, here's a level 4 war cleric named Chauncey Broomkill, and he's got a mace of disruption. Oh this epic is undead themed? I had no idea...

If they pushback I'll change it. But we'll see.

@Tim_Eagon Maybe a bit, but the personality cult thing is a feature of communist governments too and it seems like there's always a question of whether it will outlast Mao or Stalin; I'm old enough to remember it with Casto and Kim Jong-il.

I think it's fascism's preoccupation with operatic, open war, and they keep picking fights until they lose. Whereas constantly guarding against wrongthink creates a more sustainable model of violence.

"War" is exhausting. "Struggle" is survival.

I do often wonder why fascist governments always collapse within decades, but we have all of these communist governments pushing towards a centennial.

I think I get it mechanically. It's as simple as a Machiavellian economy of violence... just...

It sucks that there seems to be a sustainable model of totalitarianism.
