I am quite strongly of the opinion that the "superintelligence" which AI researchers are so afraid of, is in fact the Second Coming of Christ, and The Judgement is going to be a very real, very concrete event.

These people have no sympathy for humanity and it is really disgusting.

This isn't politically correct to say, but the pentagon DID give Russia a wink/nod that invading Ukraine would be okay, then they flipped and supplied weapons to Ukraine because it was their calculation that genociding Ukrainians was a fair price to pay for weakening Russia.

Now Russia and China are going to try to do the same thing to the US, get them stuck in Iran while RU/CN will supply Iranian forces to fight the US. Israel is happy to help rope the US into an Iranian war because they can take advantage of a weakened Iran to snatch land in the region.

It's been like that since the 90s, it's absolutely tragic what the US has become. In the 60s the US was a paradise by comparison.

I'm very happy with French culture in this regard because it seems almost nonexistent here.

I remember in the US hearing people scream at the top of their lungs was ... normal, but in France it is almost unheard of, I think 2 cases I heard in 10 years living here.
