88 years ago today, The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien was published.The fold out maps in the back of the hard cover edition that my high school library had kept me fascinated the entire time I was there. Sadly, no one ever told me I could choose map making as a career. I would probably have been a lot happier if they had!
