@hiisikoloart @ethanschoonover to make new earthenware the shopkeep must vacate the premises of his precious kiln for many hours. He lives in the constant delicate balance of having to expose himself to the lurking dangers of the dungeon in order to create new wares to sell.

Mayhaps the heavy kiln door keeps out the monsters roaming this dungeon, mayhaps he just finds his kiln homely and cozy.
