"I'd like to know: How many #books do you ca. read per year?
I sometimes see baffling numbers how much some book bloggers read (like a lot more than 100 books per year).
So I am doing this poll. Please reblog.

I often see some writers lament how bad they are at marketing or how they don't want to do marketing because they feel bad about it.
This is of course anecdotal, but I guess unless people actually had education about good marketing in one form or another, maybe this is really a problem in the fediverse.
(I learned about marketing and advertising in a college for higher education.)

I guess it depends. Straight romance has more readers than queer romance. Not sure about romance from German folklore. You might have found an interesting niche topic or a real market gap.

Bitte diversifiziert eure Bücherregale, wenn es euch möglich ist. Lest auch mal Bücher von Autor*innen, die queer, BI_PoC sind, die eine Behinderung, chronische Krankheit oder Neurodivergenz haben, oder die von anderen Marginalisierungen betroffen sind.

One thing would be to boost their posts. Even if their book is not specifically interesting for you, maybe somebody else is interested.
I try to boost as many book-related posts as possible (I do not do this if there is no ALT-text for images).
And in general - write a few lines about the books you have read. It doesn't have to be a review, a short impression may do the trick.
