New D&D players often ask, what’s the difference between INT (intelligence) and WIS (wisdom)? You’ve only got 6 ability scores, why are there two that seem like almost the same thing?
I like this answer: https://www.theseedsofscience.pub/p/why-arent-smart-people-happier
INT is the ability to solve well-defined problems, like math and language. WIS is the ability to solve poorly-defined problems, like friendship and joy.
I often suggest INT solutions to WIS problems. Is there a better way?
