    Whenever someone says that "This is the worst time ever" we need to remind them to add "for me." There's a whole big history where things have been much worse for others.

    I have had to remind myself not to frame this incorrectly.

      Yeah, I have the same thing when I say, "You have no idea ..." of whatever is bogging me down. I always add onto the end... "Or maybe you do. I don't know."

        @DejahEntendu I have often been shocked by what others have been through and how they still function.

          You said it, sister. I once horrified a (new to the work) therapist on intake when I took the whole hour to give her my history and only got through my childhood. Ever since then, I've said that I'm not a starter patient, that I need an experienced therapist.

            @DejahEntendu this is so heartbreaking. And yes, you need and deserve extra expertise.

            My mom's therapist had to get her own therapist in order to cope.

            I think all Healthcare should be free, including therapy.

              @kimlockhartga

              I am incredibly lucky to work for a company that covers mental health care 100%. No copays.

              Of course, they are a Canadian company, so it makes more sense.

              And thank you for your kind words. I'm doing so well because of the amazing therapists I've had, the hard work I've done, and the loving supporting of friends and (some) family.
