BIRDDOG-1 is a great call-sign for what is presumably a reconnaissance plane, although it seems to be used as a radio repeater… to relay a message like 1000 ft?

5 minutes, movie… this meeting does not have a lot of elbow room to work with, unless it turns out to be the start of a romance after all

starting to suspect my Internet Archive copy of the movie may be truncated…
Edit: Yes, it *is* truncated.

Securing my #MonsterdonBingo at literally the last moment with Frank's Act of Sacrifice to destroy the Martian spacecraft
and of course marking off "An Abrupt Ending" which became very clear as the movie carried on

An abrupt ending?
♫ that's the way it's got be yea / that's the way it's got be ♫
This one was fun, perfect balance of "huh, pretty good" and "this is atrocious". Have a nice night y'all!

Cool eyeball
Certainly a way to make a first impression on the viewer. Can this movie pay it off?

'I want to see across the entire EM spectrum'
translated from dingdong as:
"I wish to increase the input to my visual cortex by an order of magnitude."
(assuming, as this writing would, that the density of cells sensitive to the other parts of the spectra were the same as in the visual spectra. I suppose you could get that down to more like 2-3x as much input by changing the sampling density. still.)

Sci-fi movies forgot how to have chemistry stuff just randomly arranged on screen. It's a shame.
Cute monkey actor eyedrops. Hope they treated the animals okay in this one, based on what I know is coming from the graphic novel adaptation (which I think was just… the entire events of the movie)
