I did some more knitting last night while rewatching the version of Jane Eyre with Toby Stephens. I'm not quite finished with the "increase" section of the pattern, but I am close. Then it'll be miles and miles of the "straight" section. I'm still liking the yarn. The colors are still lovely (I have not gotten all the way through the different colors/ yet) and it's nice and grabby. That's something I want in this scarf. I want the yarn to grab into itself, almost like a light felting, because I feel like that helps stabilize the dropped stitches.
It's been a while since I have felt this interested in a project. I even brought it with me today to work on over lunch.
I had forgotten how much sense this pattern makes. I am not saying I could knit it without the pattern, but it's organized in a way that you can easily tell where you are while knitting it. And it's easy to memorize sections of it for that reason.
I really like it. I should see if this designer made other patterns besides Clapotis.

OMG, she did make more patterns. So many. I will have to dig into those to see if one of them would be a good project for me. Meanwhile, here's the progress on my current scarf.

While reading your post I was wondering if it's the Clapotis you're working about. And bingo !

@FanCityKnits Yes! Are you a fan of Knitty and/or were you on Ravelry when the Clapotis hit and everyone was making them?
