So today, I compared an original PlayStation’s output on both a traditional CRT and a 4K OLED.

And if you don’t own a CRT, do not buy an original PlayStation!

If you have a an OLED, you are far better emulating from a PC connected with an HDMI cable. Because so much detail gets lost when you’re not using a CRT with an original PlayStation just by virtue of the ugly pixelization.

Now obviously there’s equipment out there that solves this problem. I hear that a Retrotink does wonders with an OLED. But the search for fidelity can quickly become a money sink when, you know, you could have just got a CRT.
