it's extremely handy even in the US
the stove takes like 13 minutes to boil water and a kettle takes like 2-3 minutes which is nice -

My induction stove is pretty good going turning anything rapidly into plasma at full setting.
The life altering purchase was a zojirushi kettle. It just keeps water hot all day. Tea water at a moments notice is pretty magical. -
