@jake4480 Qobuz does that sometimes. Or jumbles discographies together. Cool record, buddy. But I would expect nothing less from the Maestro... ;>)

@brian I take it back, on one spot, it's fixed, but on my 'Top Artists' area the hair band still shows, hahaha:

My favorite punk album of the year so far. Can't stop listening to this one. It's just January, but this one's gonna be tough to beat in 2026. These are Buffalo, New York oi punks TAKER, and their new LP 'Sons and Daughters':
      https://taker-oi.bandcamp.com/album/sons-and-daughters

Oi but Ramones. I also hear All, Dag Nasty, Black Flag, maybe 7Seconds sometimes. Catchy, hooky, badass. A Guided by Voices cover and a Jenny Woo guest spot. 🔥

@jake4480 @Defiance @kevin looking forward to trying this tomorrow morning as a wake up album ☕️ ⚡️

And I’m sure I’ll need it. Went kind of overboard with tonight’s workout listening to Amyl and the Sniffers. JFC does that chick rock or what? Reminds me of a faster and more punk Courtney Love.

@jake4480 @Defiance @kevin finally giving this a listen and wow, I can see why this is your favorite. I’m only two tracks in and already had to pause it to capture the vibes before I forget them. You’re right, I’m *am* digging this one!

Vocals are Ramones for sure but the music goes in so many places. The first track is fast loud pop like Green Day but then the next one is a soaring anthem with a wall of sound like Japandroids. So damn good!

@jake4480 @Defiance @kevin listening to Amyl last night made me think of Courtney Love and then today she did an interview announcing her documentary:

@alabut @Defiance @kevin ha! Wow - I heard 'Malibu' the other day in a thrift store.. man, I've always hated Courtney's voice haha. But lately, I've disliked her less- when Kurt died, I REALLY disliked Courtney. But then you realize she's maybe not too bad.. she did raise Frances, etc. Appears maybe she kicked heroin. Hope so. She was such a mess years ago.

@jake4480 @Defiance @kevin same here, I couldn’t think of her when I was younger without being mad about Kurt. But then I grew up and realized she’d also been blackballed by the industry for pulling the curtain back on their shady practices. Have you ever read her open letter to the record labels? They sound just as predatory as venture capitalists in tech before about 2010.

@alabut @Defiance @kevin oh wow. I HADN'T read this, just heard about it, I think- wild. Yeah, and when you get older you see some of these other dudes involved (Dave) may not have been the greatest all the time, either.
