Y'know, if they wanted to give it an actually accurate and readable translation this time, I'd be amenable to it. That's literally the only thing I wanted out of the remakes, and instead they did this whole other song and dance that didn't really interest me.

@CactuarJoe I remember back in the day how everyone was talking about how to save Aeris. There were like half a dozen “trust me bro” rumors about ways to either prevent her death or bring her back. What if SE was like “you know what? Let’s do this… hold my sake.”
I don’t think this is plausible but if I’m going to speculate I might as well SPECULATE.

@SeasonsChange I'd be pretty shocked if they did ANY real changes -- translation included, or even like bug fixes or anything

@CactuarJoe @SeasonsChange Having played the version included in the remake bundle, I don't believe there are any significant changes.

@CactuarJoe highly likely it will be similar to the ff8 remastered version. Not that much changed.
Which will probably bug the wonderful modders of the original as they'll have to migrate to the new version probably. If they want to allow new purchasers to use their mods at least.
In fact if nothing changes besides a minor code library update or something I would hazard they're doing it to maintain the license on steam or something.
