I’m running a medieval fantasy investigation campaign and trying to find a good system. There are surprisingly few fantasy games which support investigation well. I’m looking at Swords of the serpentine, but I would really some other suggestions if people have them.

@martin@dice.camp I am usually very sleepy, so I am not often awake. But I was not aware of this one. I'll take a look. Thanks!

#TTRPG@NullNowhere Investigation is notoriously hard to model in TTRPGs.
You might want to look at Blades in the Dark. While I haven't had the opportunity to play it yet, I thought it's "Gather Information" and "Progress Clocks" systems might work well for heavy investigation themed stories.

@joe@social.jifish.co.uk I can run an investigation so long as I have a system with a pretty robust skill set and the mindset to give players abilities that aren’t just about hitting things.
But in the fantasy genre, it seems like it’s all about hitting things, or not hitting things at all. I just need a balance.
I am looking at Blades in the Dark, though heists aren’t really what the party is after. -

@joe@social.jifish.co.uk thank you for suggestion though. I think after this campaign I’m going to sit down and hack out something of my own since this niche seems … barren.
