Something that’s missed with all this trade tariff nonsense is that it plays into the hands of the global right wing. Snubbing every nation left and right is stoking nationalist indignation and right wing movements by proxy.

Especially for neoliberal-lead nations that just want the chaos to end so they can go back to quietly bureaucrating, old people social clubbing, and making money.
