I have an ARC of The Two Lies of Faven Sythe by Megan E O'Keefe through #NetGalleyThis book is so good so far (just shy of halfway through) characters bouncing off each other, banter, surprises that are inevitable in hindsight, the conspiracies and dread for when things will unravel is just excellent.#TheTwoLiesOfFavenSythe #SpaceOpera #Bookstodon

@squishymage42 I have a few recommendations! Becky Chambers’ To Be Taught, If Fortunate is also excellent, if you enjoyed the Wayfarers series. A Memory Called Empire by Arkady Martine is heavy on politics, but I wouldn’t classify it as military. The sequel has a military subplot but it’s only talked about at a high level and more about the politics within the military. The Library of Broken Worlds is another really great one that I enjoyed a lot, albeit a bit of a challenging read
