@yon@sakurajima.moe it blows my mind that there are legitimate monarchists out there, who just ignore literal millennias Worth of “this is an awful system” data.
I kinda blame fantasy literature. The king in those stories is so often a good dude, where an inbred megalomaniac manchild would be a more historically accurate depiction.
