Heh, they changed the requirements for rewards from the Time Trial arena quest things. Dropped the "special reward for the top 10,000 fastest times" thing, now they're giving you the first two rewards just for finishing and the special reward for getting an A-rank.
Given how many people were cheating -- the top times were literally all 0'00'00' -- it's probably for the best.

#MonsterHunter #MonsterHunterWilds #gamingWell, I'm at HR 233, I've crafted every SnS, finished all the quests, and made every armor set except the full Artian set and the Commission set (stupid goddamn tickets don't actually exist I swear to god) so I feel like this is a relatively good point to put the game down until the next Title Update. Or at least until AT Ray Dau.

Well, I'm at HR 233, I've crafted every SnS, finished all the quests, and made every armor set except the full Artian set and the Commission set (stupid goddamn tickets don't actually exist I swear to god) so I feel like this is a relatively good point to put the game down until the next Title Update. Very dramatic battle, always love hearing Proof of a Hero during the climax of the last big fight of the entry Even managed to get a very respectable Paralysis weapon off him, now I'm landing two Para procs per fight on the Arch-Tempered beasties, PLUS a KO! And I even had enough gem slots left over for Blindsider and Mind's Eye :3 -

Very dramatic battle, always love hearing Proof of a Hero during the climax of the last big fight of the entry Even managed to get a very respectable Paralysis weapon off him, now I'm landing two Para procs per fight on the Arch-Tempered beasties, PLUS a KO! And I even had enough gem slots left over for Blindsider and Mind's Eye :3I do think Gog is easier than Omega (Savage), tho. Part of that is the Gog fight having Monster Hunter expectations of players instead of FF14 expectations, and part of it is that Gog's strengths lie in wide AoE attacks and status attacks rather than phases that require *very specific* strategies to counter.

Oh, also, the performance update. Yeah.
It's a little better. It's not amazing, the textures are still my biggest issue with the game, but the frame rate is definitely both higher and more stable now. Which is nice. I don't think it's good enough to call it satisfactory, but Capcom is promising two more performance updates in Jan and Feb. We'll see how it goes.

Oh, one minor issue I have with the Gog fight: It's kind of restrictive in that annoying Alatreon MHWorld way.
There's a (very minor) DPS check in the last section of the fight where if you don't deal enough Dragon-element damage in a specific timeframe, you fail the quest. Now, I was able to pass the check with just a Dragon element weapon as a secondary, no element boosts at all, with a full party of CPU support hunters, so it can't be THAT hard of a check.
But it does mean you *have* to bring at least one specific kind of weapon to the fight, and I find that annoying >_>
