Honestly the thing I was most interested in from the Pokemon direct was Pokemon Champions.

Honestly the thing I was most interested in from the Pokemon direct was Pokemon Champions. The ability to battle without having to have my relevant Pokemon stuck in one specific game is kind of a big deal. And I like that it's available on mobile platforms, I *hope* it'll be the kind of thing they just continually update rather than replacing it every four years >_>
(also Mega Dragonite looks *super goofy*)

Z-A is whatever for me, I'm afraid. I know lots of people have been wishing for years and years for a more action-oriented combat system, but it just does nothing for me.
Also I thought Kalos was one of the more boring Pokemon settings, so I'm not really eager to return. Lumiose City was at least the most interesting place in the area, but still.

Rough ranking of Pokemon regions based on how interesting I think they are, most to least:
Orre (Colosseum/XD)
Alola
Unova
Galar
Paldea
Sinnoh
Kalos
Hoenn
Kanto
JohtoWhat I really want:
Galapagos, but Pokemon.

(Kanto is that far down because we've been through it in no less than five different games over the years. I'm sorry guys, it's just worn out. Johto is at the bottom because it's Kanto But Slightly To The Left.)
(Alola and Orre are at the top because they actually felt like they had their own cultures that stood apart from other regions. Paldea would've been higher if it had managed to give the region a broader culture than "we have a school.")
