    Maybe I told this story before I don't know but here is it again

    You know how many parents have a lock on the cookie jar or closet?
    Well, we had a lock on our 'WiFi closet'(yes my dad build a closet around it, with a lock and key) when I was a kid

    I always ran private Habbo and RuneScape servers from home so I needed to port fortward but my dad believed that let the hackers in!

    So there was a constant battle for the modem within out home between me and my dad

      Also one of the very first things I (thought) I bought for myself was a domain name for my Habbo server except..

      ...there was an automatic-payment block on my account that we didn't knew about so the registar could not get the money from my account

      After we came come from a vacation there was a bill for over 60 euros for the domain and costs

      So that was a looot of money for a kid and worst thing.. I didn't even got my domain lol!

        So yeah.. running games and hosting stuff is let's say one of the first things I did on the interwebz

        The whole journey started when I accidentally converted my website with Habbo furni prices (lol) from WYSIWYG website to HTML so I had to learn it

        Turned out, it opened up a whole universe!

          @stux Habbo Hotel is responsible for far more than we ever could imagine. The influence is far reaching.

          #Habbo #HabboHotel

            @matt Haha but for real

            At some point i was one of those "rich people" in Hotel NL, traded everything from scratch!

            Until my little brother downloaded a keylogger and everything was gone 😆

              Does anyone remember Coke Music? It was like Habbo but with a simplistic system to create music and play it for others.

                  I really can't believe how much fun I had collecting furniture in Habbo. 😂
