    Two gamedevs with whom I talk a lot came up with the idea to create a dedicated game for kids but with a set of rules we should abide:

    - There must be a lesson of good in the game
    - The game should be focussed on learning in a fun creative way
    - No violence / gore
    - No lootboxes / gambling / in-app purchases
    - One-time set price
    - Not making it addictive

    I think that could be a very fun project!

      @stux knowing you are Dutch, there's a great episode by Lubach on how certain shows for kids are made extra addictive. Considering they do a lot of testing on how to get children addicted, perhaps you could watch the episode and apply the exact opposite to prevent it from happening😁 in a few years time, I would love to introduce my kid to a "proven kid friendly and not addictive" style game.

        @jbouter Ive seen it ❤️

        But to be honest, it is SUPER easy to add such a ting

        For example super quick of out of my head are timers 😉

        We can set timers for the X amount the player can play otherwise the game wont run for example

        But there are so much more solutions

          @stux a limit on daily quests 🙂 if, after some point, there's simply nothing left to do - they'll quit and return the next day. That way you don't exclude anyone who takes a little longer to complete something 🙃 ah, plenty of ideas I'm sure. I'm confident you'll make something nice if you decide to do it!

            @stux I've dealt with an *educational* game platform which easily violates at least 3 of those rules (and arguably 2 more) 💀

              @stux this is such a refreshing take. like a cozy game that actually respects kids (and parents). feels rare nowadays. are you thinking something story-based? puzzle?

                @lexgordon Yess!

                A magic based 3D RPG where kids need to solve fun, creative puzzles to progress

                  The current idea is to go with a 3D RPG-ish magic based game for a few reasons

                  If we include magic we can have some sort of (cute) combat agains the evil

                  Magic is the most far from reality so easier to keep apart from things like swords or fighting that's not done

                  Magic can be used to solve puzzles in the world to progress
