Lots of the Rings is SOOO LONG. I’ve seen them all, haven’t gone back to watch again. Undeniably great movies but they’re a lot.

Star Wars is IMO best approached as “science fantasy” fun. It doesn’t make sense, some of it’s lore is dodgy at best, but it is a lot of fun ^_^

This won't spoil anything when I say that the bit about "Libyans" is a product of the very specific time in the US when the first film was made. So don't scratch your head too hard about that.

@stux @sortius Both sequels were made simultaneously. I remember seeing a teaser for 3 at the end of 2, when I watched in a movie theater.

@thematic @stux yeh, 2 definitely leads straight into 3. You can tell there's a gap between 1 and 2 though
