    Time for Mastodon #MovieClub!

Movie Club is asynchronous movie watching with friends! I'll announce a movie and we have two weeks to watch and discuss together.

“Erases the border between art and activism”

The fifth film in our series (2/26-3/12) is The Thin Blue Line (1988) by Errol Morris.

It’s available on Criterion and free on Tubi

Use and follow the hashtag #MovieClub and CW any spoilers!

This one is controversial in documentary circles because of extensive use of reenactments. I come from the Herzogian school of documentary filmmaking so I’m all for it if it’s in service of the film. Not sure why those nerds would have a problem with it

More importantly, The Thin Blue Line famously got a man’s conviction overturned. If you hate cops you’re gonna love this one

@Thomas The last time I watched this I was like a freshman in college, and I don't remember understanding it. So I'm excited to watch it this time!
