      Did you know that the hippocampus, the part of the brain that (we're reasonably sure) is linked to emotion, makes up a bigger portion of the elephant brain than it does in basically any other mammal species we know of? This might contribute to the fact that elephants are one of the only other species to engage in death rituals, like standing vigil over and burying a fallen family member.

      They've also been known to bury dead humans (and sometimes humans who were just asleep at the time).
