@b4ux1t3@hachyderm.io I mean, sure. I just kinda expect someone to go through their book and do a final redlining, you know?
There's just been a couple of books (Looking at you, Cubicle 7) where I can very clearly tell that before the thing shipped, no one of consequence actually sat down and read the thing from cover-to-cover. It makes the whole thing feel a bit performative when there are surface level mistakes anyone could catch.
If it was my book, I couldn't stop myself from madly tearing into the first printing I could get my hands on to proof it. Even before AI it's felt like editing has become a disappearing craft.
