    I've been reading the revised Storyteller's Handbook for Vampire the Masquerade and I have laughed out loud like a dozen times so far.

    The entire thing is basically that Office Meme: No, God! Please! Noooo! Stop!

    There's a section where the author goes 'Look... I've been to conventions and I know what *you people* are like but the world of Darkness is supposed to be subtle and stylish so could you at least try?'

    @Taskerland Justin Achili strikes me as a miserable cunt and the entire Revised era is him shouting that people are playing the game wrong

    ...so naturally he was placed in charge of revamping Werewolf 5th and Hunter 5th after White Wolf caught a terminal case of "swedish nazis"

        The second rule of running Vampire is don't hit people with sticks.

        RPG people: 'Whoa whoa... settle down Professor... this is going way over my head!'

          @Taskerland
          I do have to wonder what you'd think of the "Procedural" subgenre section of the GM section of my game draft.

          First sentence, which is indicative of all the other sentences across two pages:

          "For those who do not feel uncomfortable playing the types of people who think freedom of speech means freedom to be tear-gassed, the procedural is a well-established approach to the mystery genre."

              I don't mind some procedural "walking to the shop" loops if they are for guidance, and are built to be ignored. I've never understood why games tend to trend towards one or the other but not both, with the assumptions GMs choose. Vazh made a good point when I was thinking of the sheer enormity of mapping out a 1930s Transatlantic Liner that all I needed were some tables to give the flavour of the inbetweeny bits.

                @Taskerland
                Yeah, it's basically a challenge of "how many ways can I say ACAB without saying particular words and while weaving in as much actual advice as I can?"

                  @Taskerland This is a different generations "Flesh to Stone... Stone to Mud" conversation really.

                  The best argument against was from the much lamented Gilbert in Gilbert's Fridge

                  "No actually would you not do that"
