      There are lots of satellites here in the southern skies too. But the stars behind the satellites are absolutely incredible! The Milky Way was absurdly bright! The Magellenic Clouds were so easy to see! WOOOOWWWWW

      @sundogplanets Yes! So much this. As someone who grew up in Brazil, the night sky over there "has so much more stars" than where I live in Canada.

      Edit: Canada is a vast land and I haven't seen the night sky throughout πŸ™‚

        A long time ago β€” when I was still a small child β€” I visited parts of Europe that did not have street lighting at the time. Deep in the night, I could find my way home while enjoying the beautiful night sky. When the moon was full, the ancient footpaths seemed to glow.
