Do people actually believe this? Look I hate Denuvo or any DRM really but realistically it’s not hurting sales significantly if at all. I mean its whole purpose is to FORCE more sales and the average gamer simply does not care about DRM. Sad but true.

If you pick hardware/features from company that don’t support your OS of choice, I don’t see this to happened, not just in future, but ever. Just picture someone buying software/hardware for Sony’s FreeBSD (PlayStation) and expecting it to work on Windows: this doesn’t make any sense. Linux is an insane exception to this because it’s the Linux community of engineers who reverse engineered. It’s not about wait for “Linux has to be ready”, but be sure the money you thrown at your hardware are well spent. If AMD company suddenly shut down, your hardware on Windows is just an unsecured brick which in few years become useless. On Linux it will be always supported, bug fixed and updated thanks to OpenSource drivers.

Do it! Played it last year on my ps5 with my SO and they really liked the story and the fixed camera as a viewer.

Right but that’s partially my point. They put those energy types in the game with complete production lines meaning they do want you to have those as options. I used to horde waste in a ‘nuclear pit’ in one of my previous playthrough, but that’s obviously not the best route and isn’t Fixit approved! Silly lore aside though would just be nice to have fun setting up all that and it be a teeny bit worth it.

It’s worse with Nintendo too. Barring it becoming a mega hit like Baldur’s Gate 3, you can bet that you’ll be able to get this game for $40 (or less) within a year. Nintendo games don’t get discounted like this.

I’m fine with either WASD + Mouse or Full Keyboard, but requiring me to hop back and forth is annoying.

Yeah, it’s a loot box lock for sure. Even with the lunchboxes though the legendaries aren’t common enough. The only reason I know that is because at one point there was an edited save vault you could get that had unlimited lunchboxes and robot boxes.

Many indie games are PC only and are unlikely to ever be ported to a Nintendo platform – mostly because it’s a lot easier to play them on new PCs. As Nintendo products age, emulation can be one of the only ways the games stay playable.

This post hits hard. There’s a lot to respond to but i want to focus on the part about “definitive” experience because its actually one of the best parts of video games as an art medium. In music you may want to chase the most authentic sound possible on vinyl but video games are far more than the graphics quality. Video games are not a single experience that can be packaged up and replicated across people. Every person comes away with a unique experience and this is great for discussion. We may play the same game but in two completely different ways. When I’m sharing a video game with someone im not sharing in hopes they will have the same experience I had, I’m sharing because im interested in the experience they had.

HDMI signal well start degrading after a couple of meters. My office is a lot further than that. I don’t want cables all over my house.

Knowing that AMD processors are set to just keep pushing power into them until they are just below their thermal limit is why I set the minimum and maximum power usage for it to 99% instead of 100. It might be okay for the CPU to run ~95c all the time; I don’t know if the same is true for the motherboard it is slotted into. I’d rather just not see it go higher than 85c.
