Yes, the other comment mentions the last straw was shoveling snow. The video was hard to watch.

Not only is this a terrible bill, but the timing of it is especially telling. We’re in a fight for our sovereignty and he wants to hand our data over to the people threatening us.

Buy some PLTU, because Palantir will be embedded into every government world wide by direction of credit rating agencies. That’s my thoughts on the matter anyways, DOGE was a data grab for government data, and the Musk/Trump fallout was fake to cover it up. People buying it at a 5x PEG aren’t irrationally dumb.

Sec 6.1 of the SFCA: 6 (1) It is prohibited for a person to manufacture, prepare, package, label, sell, import or advertise a food commodity in a manner that is false, misleading or deceptive or is likely to create an erroneous impression regarding its character, quality, value, quantity, composition, merit, safety or origin or the method of its manufacture or preparation. Penalties outlined in the act: 39 (1) A person who contravenes a provision of this Act, other than sections 7 and 9, or a provision of the regulations — or fails to do anything the person was ordered to do by, or does anything the person was ordered not to do by, the Minister or an inspector under this Act other than subsection 32(1) — is guilty of an offence and is liable (a) on conviction on indictment, to a fine of not more than $5,000,000 or to imprisonment for a term of not more than two years or to both; or (b) on summary conviction, for a first offence, to a fine of not more than $250,000 or to imprisonment for a term of not more than six months or to both and, for a subsequent offence, to a fine of not more than $500,000 or to imprisonment for a term of not more than 18 months or to both.

Ranked choice voting and proportional representation was our only way to break the cycle and Trudeau fucked it up.

Fair points. Only thing I would question is if they are backing up the x-ray video feed, that’s an enormous amount of data, and I would bet their backups don’t go back very far.

Personally my reaction to most of C-2 is mild disappointment, but Part 15 is extremely concerning to me.

He has given no indication of it, and it is currently canceled. “To support those negotiations, the Minister of Finance and National Revenue, the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, announced today that Canada would rescind the Digital Services Tax (DST) in anticipation of a mutually beneficial comprehensive trade arrangement with the United States.” https://www.canada.ca/en/department-finance/news/2025/06/canada-rescinds-digital-services-tax-to-advance-broader-trade-negotiations-with-the-united-states.html Seems that the rescinding of this legislation is tied to a “mutually beneficial and comprehensive trade arrangement” demonstrating that the DST is not currently completely off the table. In fact, the legislation to rescind it hasn’t been tabled yet. “The June 30, 2025 collection will be halted, and Minister Champagne will soon bring forward legislation to rescind the Digital Services Tax Act.” What information do you have that says we won’t institute the DST in the future if no deal is reached?

The MP representing B.C.'s Sea-to-Sky region wants to see passenger rail introduced in the booming region north of Vancouver, just weeks after CN Rail said it intends to discontinue its operations in the area. “And it’s having a major impact on the communities — not just in the Sea-to-Sky, but actually all the way down to creating congestion into Metro Vancouver. So … there is a major need for alternative transportation options.” Weiler said the Sea-to-Sky region, which has been seeing an influx of residents ever since Highway 99 was expanded for the 2010 Olympics, has had its population grow by 60 per cent since then.

You sure jump to conclusions. I didnt move neighborhoods. I lost a property in another country with two houses on it with ZERO insurance payout because the loss was due to a lava eruption. Total loss of property and my vehicles. I dont need empathy for a “disaster” thats going to take 100 years to take place. Thats ridiculous. I had no warning, they have 100 years to make a move.

Really glad that BC’s warped version of the NDP is pressing towards keeping their promise of sustainability.
