Carney tells MPs to brace for 'very, very busy' few weeks as Parliament reopens | CBC News

Liberal MPs decided against adopting the Reform Act during their caucus meeting Sunday, which would have given them more power to vote out their newly-elected leader down the line.

Good, I’m glad the goal is to move quickly and maximize the amount that gets done.

We don’t have years to make these decisions, we needed to make good decisions years ago, and making them today will take years to change the country.

That is not to say I want a careless DOGE where we make changes without consideration, we need big change, we need it now, and we need the best people in the position to make those changes.

I do wish they’d gone for something like the reform act, frankly Trudeau should not have run in 2021, and leadership changes should have been made well before then. He ruined whatever legacy he started with in the following years to the deteriment of the party, Canada, and himself.

Agreed 2021 election is a total waste of resource and taxpayers money.

I am cautiously confident this new government is more competent but I don’t expect them to magically fix everything.

Yeah sounds like his style is very different to Trudeau. I like it. MPs already moaning that he has no patience for half assing things and dragging feet. I think he’ll keep them busier than they have ever been. Good. We need to move and fast.
